My therapeutic approach

With a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I take an integrative approach, combining scientifically supported methods to meet your individual needs. Depending on your goals, preferences, and what feels most helpful, we draw from various therapeutic models to create a flexible and personalized process.

Together, we may decide to include optional homework between sessions, offering opportunities to apply insights from our work to everyday life. The aim is to keep therapy both structured and adaptable - supporting your personal journey in a way that feels natural and effective.

Therapy is a space where both clients and therapists grow. Continuous learning, curiosity, and self-care are essential parts of the process. After many years of practice, the process of change and the strength people discover in themselves with the right support remains a source of deep inspiration.

Online Treatment

In 2019, life brought me and my family to Sweden, where I continued working in psychotherapy and explored the growing field of digital mental health. At first, I questioned whether therapy through a screen could truly replicate the human connection of in-person sessions. But over time, I realized that digital therapy isn’t about replacing; it’s about expanding possibilities. My time at a Scandinavian digital mental health provider, as a therapist on a Swiss platform for online psychotherapy and a clinical researcher at the University of Oslo have shown me the value of combining human connection with innovative technology for accessible care.

My clients come with a wide range of personal and emotional challenges. Some seek support during times of change - in relationships, family life, or personal development. Others want to better understand and manage anxiety, low self-worth, or work-related stress.

For those living between cultures, navigating life as an expat can bring unique complexities. My own experience in this area helps you create a space to explore identity, transitions, and belonging.

Support can take many forms. Some people come for just a few sessions to focus on a specific concern. Others value ongoing space for reflection, growth, or navigating recurring challenges over time. The therapeutic process is tailored to what feels most helpful - whether short-term, long-term, or revisited when needed.

Our sessions: What to expect

At our scheduled time, we will connect via video chat. While we typically use both video and audio, you are welcome to turn off your camera if you prefer.

Our work begins with a 90-minute intake session, giving us time to get to know each other and for you to share an overview of your situation, challenges, and goals. Follow-up sessions usually last 50 minutes, though we may opt for 30-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on your needs.

Some clients choose to meet once or twice a month, while others prefer more frequent support of 2 times per week. I typically recommend weekly sessions at the start, but we will adjust this together to ensure the process fits your unique situation. I am usually available Monday to Friday during daytime hours (CET – Central European Time).

All video sessions are conducted via Zoom using end-to-end encryption to protect your privacy.

A note on my online services & your well-being

Please note that I am accredited and registered as psychotherapist in Switzerland (Eidg. anerkannte Psychotherapeutin). As I currently live abroad, the online counseling services provided here are not covered by Swiss health insurance. Furthermore, online counseling is not suitable for all situations. Acute psychological crises and severe mental health conditions require in-person, ongoing care. In these instances, it's important to consult local psychotherapists or emergency services. If you're unsure whether online counseling is the right fit for your needs, don't hesitate to reach out, and we can discuss the best path forward together.
